About the Artist
Marie Klimis is a writer, storyteller and theatre designer specialising in site-specific performance projects. For the last ten years, she has brought art to the strangest possible spaces, from stations to public aquariums, museum lifts, church crypts and underground tunnels. She is interested in making the arts more accessible, bringing performances outside of theatre venues and creating work that is inclusive, challenging and fun for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Marie graduated from the MA in Advanced Theatre Practice at Central School of Speech and Drama. Her solo work focuses on multidisciplinary projects combining storytelling with sound design, puppetry and traditional crafts. She is also a founding member of 27 degrees, a company specialising in immersive theatre in unusual spaces.

Enter a vintage caravan and join artist Marie Klimis for a cup of tea and a love story. 12-14 March 2020, 12-6pm.
Whether you’re 15 or 50, love stories inspire us all. A Love Letter, focusses on and celebrates love after 50, while the media, advertising and film industries overload us with images of young love. You will get to explore intimate stories from real people that give insights into the ups and downs of romantic relationships at a later stage in life. Through a series of miniature diorama boxes and sound installations, A Love Letter brings to life the voices of the North Kensington’s community and invites you to share their stories and thoughts about love – past, present and future.
A love letter contains 10 visual and audio installations, with each individual soundtrack lasting 5 to 10 minutes. Audience members are welcome to listen to as many installations as they wish (total listening time is about 60 minutes). However, at busy times, time in the installation will be limited to 20 minutes per person. Admission is on a first come first served basis, but people with special access needs can book a time slot by contacting Marie Klimis on firstname.lastname@example.org. All soundtracks will also be available on www.marieklimis.com/love
