It’s not too late to join one of Gold & Ashes’ creative storytelling workshops. Aimed at 13-19 year olds, they are a guided space to explore your story creatively. The workshops will all be taking place at Bay20 Community Centre, 71 St Marks Road, London W10 6JG.

Poetry and Creative Writing

Shareefa Energy is a spoken word poet, writer, mentor and workshop facilitator. Her poetry is raw, honest and consistent against injustice. Her poetry has featured on BBC The One Show, Channel 4 and ITV. She recently released her debut poetry collection Galaxy Walk. She has facilitated creative writing poetry workshops internationally, from Palestine to Sierra Leone across generations.
Thembe Mvula is a South African born writer and performance poet currently based in London. Her prize shortlisted debut poetry pamphlet, We that Wither Beneath, was self published in March 2019 and was listed in top books of the year 2019 by the Poetry School. Thembe is currently a Barbican Young Poet.

Acknowledged as a pioneer and central figure within the development of British graffiti art, Errol draws upon first hand experiences to highlight the connections with culture, learning and the politics of identity.
