The spaces across the Westway estate are available for hire to host arts and culture activities from live music, festivals and street arts to community events, exhibitions and site-specific theatre.  The spaces are managed by organisations committed to supporting creative ideas.

Acklam Village

Acklam Village is a unique licensed venue and home to West London’s best in street food, drink, music and arts. Housed in a large bay under the Westway, it creates a bohemian feel and an eccentric, eclectic atmosphere to events.

Portobello Green

Portobello Green is a beautiful green space full of exotic plants that seems almost purpose-built for hosting outdoor events and performances. Adjacent to the famous Portobello Road Vintage Market, the space is popular amongst locals and visitors alike and is used throughout the year for a range of activities.

Subterania, previously Acklam Hall, was originally opened in 1989 by the Mean Fiddler with well-known artists such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eminem, Foo Fighters, Paul Weller, Madonna, Pulp and Alanis Morissette all performing at the venue. It was relaunched in 2018 and continues its live music tradition alongside hosting other performances and events.

Westbank Gallery

Westbank is an upper-level gallery, arts and music space overlooking Portobello Green. Situated on the first floor, it consists of an event space and bar which also doubles up as a gallery, a lounge with comfortable sofas and features a balcony. The space is also suitable for meetings, workshops, launches and screenings.

BAYSIXTY6 Skate Park

BAYSIXTY6 is west London’s premier skate park and with its ramps and unique location, it also offers a one-of-a-kind music and arts venue.

Maxilla Studios

4 Maxilla Walk, London, W10 6NQ

Maxilla Studios is a building containing 24 artist studios and a small exhibition, event or workshop space available during term time. Preferable hire fees are available for local groups/charities whose projects demonstrate clear community benefit.
